Valdumia > Our Winery

History

The long tradition of Valdumia

Back in the 12th and 13th centuries, monks of Cluny brought the Albariño grape to Galicia, thus founding a flourishing wine-growing tradition.

The history of Bodegas Valdumia begins in 1941, when the ancestors of the current owner, Vicente Perez Alvarez, settled in Vilagarcia de Arousa to sell wine.

Innovation, exclusivity and respect for tradition

Bodegas Valdumia has become one of the leading producers of Albariño wines, thanks to this family vocation and the acquisition of some modern facilities. Its vintners are known around the world.

Our prospects could not be better. Backed up by all those years of tradition and experience, we still produce our Albariño with the same thrill and excitement as at the beginning. We know that Valdumia Albariños still have a lot to offer.
